A Simple Primer for a Simple Mind.........
Ed Roman 2002 Re edited in 2006
Stop complaining, shut up, and spend your damn money. There has
never been a better time to spend your money. There has never been a better
reason to spend your money. Money is not edible, Most money is not
collectable and money does not even make good toilet paper. SPEND IT!!!
that's what it's for..... (oh yeah use it to buy American products) (Just
because Toyota has a factory in Kentucky does not make it an American product)
The profits all go across the pond, leaving us with the weaker economy. We
are rapidly becoming a poorer country.
These slimy terrorist Bastard Fuks have succeeded in throwing the country
into a recession because everyone is too wimpy to get off their money. I am
going to point out a couple of obvious facts.
1. Somewhere, it is written, that you should keep some cash around your
house, just in case the banking system should collapse. Bull!!!!!!!!
If the banking system ever collapsed your cash would be worthless anyway.
I don't believe that the banking system will collapse because the government
will have to step in and simply print more money. This will cause massive
inflation and your cash and your savings won't be worth $hit. By you hoarding
your money it's entirely your fault that the recession exists in the first
Interest rates are at an all time low. That's because the government
wants you to spend money. Automobiles are at ZERO percent APR. That's
because the government wants you to spend money.
I believe that if everyone kept the money moving, we wouldn't have to go to war
to jumpstart the economy. I hear people saying things like "We need to go to
war, That will fix our economy" Bull$hit !!!!! all we really need is a
spine. I say it's the spineless wimps who are saving for a rainy day that
will never come. That money they are hoarding is holding back our economy.
Spend don't save.... Spend don't save !!!!!!!!!!
When you buy that car your money goes to the car dealer who can stay in
business and employs an average of 60 people who won't be collecting
unemployment. The rest of your money goes to the car company (Hopefully in
Detroit and not in Tokyo} who employs thousands of people who won't be going
on unemployment. Those people are all potential customers of yours, or
where you work. Let's say you work in a steel mill. The car
companies will buy steel and their employees will buy products made from steel.
What, you say the mill is closed? Oh yeah, that's right that was the last
recession. Ok let's say you work in an electronics plant making parts for
radios. Ooops Sorry, I almost forgot that was the recession in the 70's.
Are you getting my point, Dexter !
As long as the money is moving the economy does good. when the money slows
down the economy does also. If someone is out of work they can't help support
the economy. They become a burden to the economy. Think about that the
next time you are getting ready to plunk down that $1,500.00 on that Korean made
overpriced Epiphone, or ESP guitar. Just because ESP has an address in
the USA it does not make them a USA company.
Recently I noticed American Flag decals on the
back of a bunch of ESP's that arrived for Xmas. Upon close
inspection the small print said "Inspected
in USA" Puhleease give me a break !!!!!
They really think we must be stupid over here.....
Now don't get me wrong, I believe it's
OK to buy some imported guitars. The ones that are cheap !!!!!
Currently the Chinese are building some great guitars between
$100.00 & $200.00. Some ESP guitars are priced over $2,000.00
that's highway robbery and should be a crime. Ibanez
drastically lowered their prices in 2002. So I stopped bashing
them immediately after they did that. I will only bash
companies that are ripping off consumers. I really hate
companies that sell a 3 cent bottle full of 1 cent worth of
carbonated dyed chemical sugar water for $1.00, You know
companies like Coke & Pepsi. Don't get me started on the
fast food conglomerates they are almost as bad as the cigarette
companies. (I hope they all burn in hell for
Japanese products are not bad, in fact they are quite well made. Lexus,
Infiniti, Nikon, Sony, JVC, D'Angelico, Fender are all excellent products. In
fact I prefer the Japanese Fender product over the USA made. Incidentally it is very hard to find any Japanese
Fender product in this country. Most Fenders come Mexico.
Let's get back to the point.....
A healthy economy means better jobs for everyone. We have lost the
electronics wars, and the camera wars. The Japanese have decimated us on that
level. Kids today work at Burger King & McDonalds shoveling fake food &
sawdust down our
stupid throats because we have lost most of our manufacturing abilities. Our
manufacturing has all moved out of the USA because it's cheaper and in the case
of Japanese it's sometimes better.
If you want your kids to be eating rice & raw
fish, just keep buying expensive Asian products. If You have to buy foreign products just buy the
cheaper goods that they are capable of making quite well. DO NOT PAY FOR EXPENSIVE JAPANESE BRANDING
After September 11th. I was pissed off to see a bunch of idiotic morons
with their Chinese made American flags waving from their Japanese car antennas
and their Korean printed stickers "United We Stand". Give
me a break....... (Hey remember this is still a rant)
What we need is nothing more than a good old fashioned dose of American
pride. Buy American... In fact buy an American hand made high quality
guitar from me and buy it now, buy it today. You can rest assured, I will
be spending most of that money on American made products only.
You know what really frost's my balls?
No Ed, but I'm sure you are gonna' tell me !!!!!!!!
Yer' Damn Right I Am !!!!!!!!
I'll be talking to a customer and he will comment that he bought a Korean
guitar because he couldn't afford a better one....
Well the main reason he couldn't afford a better USA made one is because
his Daddy is probably driving a Volvo or a Toyota. Try to understand this
economy simply perpetuates itself. It's a vicious cycle, The more you buy
imports the more you make it impossible for a trickle down economy to benefit
you and make you richer. If you must buy imported, Ed Roman says it's OK to buy
low cost items only. Don't buy a $2,400.00 ESP but a $350.00 Ibanez is OK.
Let the other countries build our lower cost product not the creme de la creme.
Or worse yet I'll be talking to an intelligent well spoken, educated, well
to do customer who will tell me he bought that Lexus because it was better than
the Lincoln. He may even be right but that doesn't change what I am talking about.
Keep our money on our home soil, If we support the American companies,
they will improve and our way of life will flourish. If we don't then we lose
everything our country our culture our way of life.
Don't Just Think About It,
Do Something !!!!!!!!!!!!!
